· What is the approximate shipping cost for the HiMill D1/D1S models?

Due to the substantial weight of the equipment, the current shipping fee for the whole machine is $60 per unit.  
*Additional charges may apply if supplementary items exceed the standard weight limit. Remote areas may incur extra shipping fees, which will be adjusted based on the actual delivery address. The HiMill D1S is an upgraded version of the D1 model, with the following key differences:

- Transmission System: The D1 uses a T-type lead screw, while the D1S is equipped with a ball screw for higher precision and efficiency.

- Spindle Power: The D1 features a 250W air-cooled brushed spindle, whereas the D1S upgrades to a 250W air-cooled brushless quick-change spindle, delivering greater power and compatibility with more materials.

- Machining Accuracy: The D1 offers an accuracy of ±0.04mm, while the D1S improves this to ±0.02mm.

- Maximum Speed: Both the D1 and D1S support a maximum speed of 1000mm/min, ensuring high processing efficiency.

· What advantages does HiMill D1/D1S offer over similarly priced products?

- Robust Structure: Features a fully cast aluminum base, providing superior stability and smoother operation during machining compared to standard materials.

· Can a rotary axis unit be added?

The optional rotary axis unit enables 4-axis simultaneous machining, supporting operations such as complex curved surface processing and cylindrical engraving, thereby significantly enhancing the device's machining capabilities.

· What materials are suitable for processing with the laser module?

Suitable Materials:

Wood, Plywood, Acrylic, Leather, Fabric, Paper, Cardboard, Rubber (some types), Anodized Aluminum (surface engraving), Stone (surface engraving), Coated Metals (coating removal).  

Unsuitable/Hazardous Materials:  

PVC and other chlorine-containing materials (release highly toxic chlorine gas), Polycarbonate (PC), Fiberglass, Carbon Fiber, Uncoated Metals (reflect laser dangerously and are difficult to engrave), and materials containing halogens or heavy metals.  

Always verify material safety before processing!

*Laser effects are influenced by power, speed, focal length, material thickness, and color. Always conduct a small-area test when using a new material!

· What are the main functions of the 3D probe?

- Automatic Tool Setting / Tool Length Measurement: Accurately locates the Z-axis zero point of the tool.

- Workpiece Positioning / Edge Finding: Automatically detects workpiece edges and sets X/Y zero points.

- Surface Probing: Measures workpiece flatness and enables automatic leveling compensation during machining (suitable for uneven surfaces).

Advantages: Significantly reduces manual tool-setting errors and improves the efficiency and accuracy of complex workpiece setup.

5. After-Sales Support

· What after-sales services are included with the product?

The purchase of a HiMill includes a 12-month warranty. During this period, should any non-human-induced quality issue arise, we provide free repair or replacement services. For component failures during the warranty period, we will ship replacement parts to you for self-installation. Additionally, online technical support and operational guidance are available to ensure a smooth user experience.
